Last year, I fully explained how the franchising process works in the NFL [NFL Franchise Tags].

Players who have been franchised by their respective teams:

1. Lance Briggs – Chicago Bears

2. Justin Smith – Cincinnati Bengals

3. Dwight Freeney – Indianapolis Colts

4. Asante Samuel – New England Patriots

5. Charles Grant – New Orleans Saints

6. Josh Brown – Seattle Seahawks

7. Cory Redding – Detroit Lions

8. Adalius Thomas – Baltimore Ravens

9. Leonard Davis – Arizona Cardinals
