Sponsor Me!

Watching the tense match between Arnaud Clement and the number 32 seed Ivo Karlovic I noticed something bewildering. Ivo Karlovic, ranked 30 on the ATP Singles Tour, does not have a clothing or shoe sponsor. I would have thought that a player who is ranked so high, and has had great success (2 singles titles this year), would be snapped up.

As you can in the image below, Ivo Karlovic dressed all in white in his match. Was this an advertisment for sponsors? Surely Nike or Adidas would throw him some clothes?

yeah that’s funny. just yesterday in madrid he played in weird mix of nike-cap, adidas-shirt, dunno-name shoes and shorts. i think it’s still better than poor stepanek’s early 90′s-like yuk garment. well, it fits his way of playing tennis anyway.

Perhaps he has ethics and doesn’t want to be a clothes horse for brands.
