He resigned from fighting, commentating, and promoting anything UFC related. There is a big difference. When he retired before he still was a commentator on PPVs and went around to state athletic commissions, representing the UFC, trying to get the sport of MMA sanctioned. He has completely walked away from the organization in all capacities. It may not seem like much, but "resigning" and "retiring" are a big difference. Randy has never said he “retired”.
