		<description>Zak, if you were to look at Manny&#039;s statistics throughout his career, it&#039;s easy to notice his extreme consistency year in and year out. For example, here are his batting averages for the last 6 years:

2007- .296
2006- .321
2005- .292
2004- .308
2003- .325
2002- .349
2001- .306

By looking at this, it is highly unlikely that Ramirez will just slack off. I do not think the Dodgers will be hesitant because of last seasons deal; the reason for my hypothesis is that the Dodgers know the type of player that Manny is and he already proved himself for the couple months that he has been a Dodger.
