Pete Parise was solid in his first AA appearance on Friday, so the Springfield Cardinals put the ball in his hand again during Saturday’s day game. Parise came into the game with a 4-1 Springfield lead, but with the bases juiced and two outs in a pivotal 6th inning. He got the Cardinals out of trouble, though, and went on to pitch 2/3 more of an inning, ending his day with a full inning pitched, no hits, no walks, and no runs allowed. Pete’s ERA remains 0.00.
