Suggs Gets Paid

Terrell Suggs signed a 6-year, $63 million contract with $38 million guaranteed. This contract makes him the highest-paid linebacker in NFL history. Let’s see Suggs’ contract compared with his fellow linebackers and those drafted in the first round in 2003:

  • Terrell Suggs – 6 years, $63 million (2009)
  • Jarret Johnson – 5 years, $21.7 million
  • Ray Lewis – 3 years, $22 million (2009)
  • Nick Barnett (fellow draftee; Green Bay Packers) – 6 years, $34.975 million

Congrats to Suggs; he has played hard in Baltimore and has proven to be a foundational player on the Ravens’ defense .
