The New York Giants and their prized quarterback Eli Manning have agreed to a deal for 6-years, $97.5 million with $35 million guaranteed. This will give Manning an averaged $15.3 million per year, which is $1.13 million more per year than older brother Peyton Manning.
Let’s take a look at the other quarterbacks drafted in the 1st round of the 2004 NFL Draft and where they stand financially:
- Philip Rivers – 2009: $6.5 million
- Ben Roethlisberger – 2008: Signed 8-year, $102 million contract
- J.P Losman – Free Agent, Signed with Las Vegas UFL team.
So as you can see, Manning will make more per year than Ben Roethlisberger, who I think is a more solidified quarterback than Manning.
