On To The Next One: Dustin Martin

Damien Barrett reported on The Footy Show last week that Richmond player Dustin Martin has left Phoenix Management to join Ralph Carr at RCM Sport. 20-year-old Martin is one of the most promising footballers in the Australian Football League (AFL), and his current deal expires at the end of 2013. Dustin was the subject of a huge offer from the new Greater Western Sydney franchise, but opted to stay with Richmond.

Phoenix Management is the company that was formed from Ricky Nixon‘s old company, Flying Start, and they inherited the former company’s client list last year following Ricky Nixon’s de-registration as an AFL agent.

RCM Sport have been making waves in representation lately, adding superstar Travis Cloke‘s off field opportunities to their business as well. Dustin Martin also joins his teammates in Daniel Jackson and Luke McGuane at the company, and rising Melbourne rookie James Magner is poised to breakout after a dominant pre-season.

RCM Sport really are getting some great players on board. Can’t think of a better management team for Dustin.

Dustin is an amazing player, i’m sure Phoenix Management aren’t happy about that one. Good on RCM Sport. They really seem to be picking up all the great ones.
