When I wrote that JT Johnson of Atlas Sports Agency is 2013’s Football Agent to Watch, the recently certified NFLPA Contract Advisor had picked up Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter as a client.  Additionally, California wide receiver Keenan Allen and California quarterback Zach Maynard had committed to Johnson and his agency.  While the latter two players are still Atlas Sports clients, Hunter has formally left and signed with Ben Dogra and Jimmy Sexton of Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

At the end of 2012, there were already rumors circulating that Hunter was looking to make a switch in representation, and most people indicated that CAA would be the wide-out’s final destination.  Hunter is a big loss for Atlas Sports, but while he may end up being a first or second round pick, he may not have even been the best wide receiver represented by the company.  Many project Keenan Allen to be the first WR off the board.

As of the January 23, 2013 update to the Sports Agent Blog 2013 Mock Draft, Hunter is projected to be a first round selection of the Minnesota Vikings at the #23 pick overall.  A couple of mock drafts on NFL Draft Scout have Hunter being off the board by then.
