This past Saturday, the #1 ranked Florida Gators concluded their regular season play, and as they approach the SEC Championship and possibly the National Championship, it’s only natural that questions arise regarding the future of several players who have played integral roles in the continued success of the team.

The one player whose future is most up in the air is the one and only Tim Tebow. What position will he play in the NFL? Is he a quarterback? Is he a tight end? Is he a fullback? The upside to Tebow is that he can be all of these things. Today’s NFL is becoming a league of gimmick offenses becoming full time offenses, and Tim Tebow’s versatility can allow a team to utilize him in every way possible. Most likely, Tim Tebow will be drafted as a quarterback and people will continue to question his ability to play the position in the NFL. Having watched the Gators for the past two years, I can say that the uncertainty surrounding his ability is warranted, but that is not to say that he cannot play the position. Tebow has time and time again made precise throws, run for important first downs, and simply win games. His ability to win games is something no person can argue against. Tebow’s passion, heart, and ability combined, have allowed him to win a Heisman trophy and win the SEC and National Championships in 2 of 3 years, and possibly in 3 of 4 years. I see Tebow going in the late 1st round to mid 2nd round. Many people may not agree with this, but teams will be more than willing to take a chance on a player who is extremely versatile ability and has an uncanny ability to win games.

Aaron Hernandez is another player whose future is up in the air. Hernandez, a junior, is not a guarantee to leave for the NFL draft, but based on his actions during the UF vs. FSU game, every indication points towards him entering the draft. Aaron Hernandez possesses great skills, all which will allow Hernandez to be a great tight end in the NFL. Most likely, Hernandez will not be the first tight end taken, as that honor will probably go to Oklahoma’s Jermain Gresham, but I see Hernandez being a late 2nd to 3rd round pick. Hernandez has shown his ability to run routes, block defenders, and, as seen in the FSU game, juke and run his way to the end-zone. Hernandez is the Gators second leading receiver this season with 51 receptions for 654 yards and 4 touchdowns. Hernandez’s speed, hands, and intensity have allowed him to be successful in an offense that has struggled in the passing game, but Hernandez looks to have a bright future.

Brandon James may have the most questionable future of the high profile Florida Gator seniors. James, listed at 5’ 7” and 185 lbs, has an incredible ability to make a game breaking play at any moment. James is most comparable to Darren Sproles when attempting to compare him to somebody in the NFL. Darren Sproles, another small running back in the NFL, has had a successful career up to this point, but there is one major difference when comparing the two in terms of where they will be drafted. Darren Sproles (4th round, 29th pick) was a full time running back in college at Kansas State, and a successful one at that, whereas James is predominantly a kick/punt returner and a part time running back and wide receiver. Obviously, James does not have the ideal size for an NFL running back, but he has great speed, quickness, and will take a hit that most players would never want to go near. James is fearless on the field, and with his combination of skills, can be a successful player in the NFL. Most likely, James will be a 6th or 7th round pick, but I don’t see any team regretting taking a chance on the undersized running back.

Carlos Dunlap, Junior, seems to have a very bright future ahead of him. The 6’ 6”, 290 lbs defensive end has had a very successful three years in The Swamp. In his first two years at UF, Dunlap recorded 46 tackles (15.5 for loss), 10.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, and 4 blocked kicks/punts. Teams, after seeing such production, decided to constantly double team the standout defensive end, but still, have not had much luck stopping his production. In the 2009 season, Dunlap has 32 tackles and 7 sacks. There is not much anybody can say that is negative about Carlos Dunlap. He has great size, strength, quickness, and speed, and obviously has a relentless attitude on the field, shown by his 7 sacks despite his constant double teams. Dunlap looks to be a top 15 pick in the coming NFL draft, and looks to have a great career ahead of him.

Simply put, Brandon Spikes, Senior, is a monster. The 6’ 3”, 260 lbs linebacker is a brick, and hits like a brick too. He is a ball hawk, and seems to be involved in every single defensive play possible. Throughout his career, Spikes has accumulated 276 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 6 sacks. Spikes always seems to produce when on the field, and no team can argue against that. His ability to be involved in every play, be a vocal leader, lead by example, and lay the wood, will make him a solid NFL linebacker. Not to mention, his size is great for an NFL linebacker. Spikes has had some mishaps this season, injuries, and his questionable act in the FL/GA game in Jacksonville, but Spikes has handled them all with class, and although it may hurt his draft status a bit, it wont affect it enough to hinder his chance of becoming an NFL player. Spikes seems to be a late 1st to 2nd round pick. Spikes may have been able to be drafted higher had the Gators not adopted a rotating linebacker system. This system has taken some of Spikes’ playing time from him, which would have allowed him to further showcase his NFL abilities.

Joe Haden, Junior, is probably the top cornerback in a weak cornerback class. Haden has a great ability to cover man-on-man, recover in the infrequent times in which he is beat on a route, and most importantly, tackle in the open field. For a cornerback, being able to tackle in the open field is a skill that will set you apart from the pack, and Haden is extremely skilled at this. He is a big cornerback, listed at 5’11” and 190 lbs. In his three years as a UF cornerback, he has accumulated 194 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 8 interceptions. The Gators started Haden as a true freshman and have never looked back. He has continued to perform, and has no fear when taking on the top receivers in the country. Haden has also shown great durability, missing only two games in his three full years of starting. Joe Haden looks to be a top 20 pick in the coming NFL draft mainly because of his size, coverage skills, and great ability to tackle in the open field.

Jermaine Cunningham, Senior, is another player whose future is up in the air. As an undersized, yet productive, defensive end, he looks to be selected as an outside linebacker that will fit great into a 3-4 defensive system. Cunningham, listed at 6’ 3”, is said to run a 4.6 sec. forty, which in turn, will allow him to be effective as an outside linebacker. Cunningham has, multiple times, come up with big tackles in the backfield and numerous sacks that have changed the flow of a game. Cunningham has put up respectable numbers in his first three years as a Gator, recording 118 tackles (22 for loss), 12.5 sacks, 1 interception, and 3 forced fumbles. Some project Cunningham as a 1st round pick, but I see him more as a 2nd to 3rd round pick. Cunningham has a lot of upside and can turn out to be a great player in the NFL. It would be understandable for Cunningham to be chosen in the late 1st round, if a team were wiling to take a chance, but for the most part, he looks to be chosen somewhere in the second half of the 2nd round.

This year’s Florida Gators will put several players in the NFL draft, most of which will have solid careers in the NFL. Where these players will be chosen in the draft, nobody will know until actual draft day, but there is always room in this world for predictions.

Last updated: March 19, 2010

First Round

1. St. Louis Rams – Ndamukong Suh – DT – Nebraska (Maximum Sports)

The Rams need a boost somewhere on the field this season. Ndamukong Suh is possibly one of the best defensive line prospects to enter the draft since Warren Sapp. He penetrates the backfield and gets a boatload of TFLs. He will be a solid fit in St. Louis.

2. Detroit Lions – Gerald McCoy – DT – Oklahoma (CAA/Kelli Masters Mgmt)

McCoy’s stock seemed to drop a bit after the combine but I think he is still a playmaker and worthy of the number 2 spot.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Eric Berry – S – Tennessee (Allegiant Atheletic Agency)

The Bucs have an up-and-coming defense and can really use a showstopper like Eric Berry. Berry is an extremely instinctive player and is really physical. Sabby Piscitelli just isn’t cutting it for TB. Berry is a solid pick at 3 overall.

4. Washington Redskins – Sam Bradford – QB – Oklahoma (CAA)

Believe it or not, Jason Campbell is done in Washington. He is very inconsistent and failed to spark the ‘Skins. The Redskins are going to have to pick the best quarterback in the draft. And in their mind, Bradford is him.

5. Kansas City Chiefs – Russell Okung – OT – Oklahoma State (All-Pro Sports)

The Chiefs just can’t afford to pass up on Okung at this spot. He has held the number one OT spot for a while and it’s for a reason.

6. Seattle Seahawks – Bryan Bulaga – OT – Iowa (CAA)

With Walter Jones pretty much done in Seattle, Bulaga will come in to be a solid pass protector.

7. Cleveland Browns – Derrick Morgan – DE – Georgia Tech (Universal Sports)

The move of Wimbley to Oakland has this choice making more and more sense. Derrick Morgan is an extremely effective pass-rusher who will solidify the Browns’ defensive front.

8. Oakland Raiders – Anthony Davis – OT – Rutgers (320 Sports)

With Derrick Morgan going to the Browns at 7, the Raiders have to go with their next best option which is Anthony Davis. Davis will give the Raiders the anchor that they need on the offensive line to put their quarterback in a position to be successful.

9. Buffalo Bills – Mike Iupati – OG – Idaho (Rep 1 Sports)

With Richie Incognito gone, the Bills have a void at guard (even though Incog was there for a short term). Mike Iupati is an effective run blocker and pass protector.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars – Earl Thomas – S – Texas (Athletes First)

Jacksonville needs an instinctive player in the secondary and Earl Thomas is just that. He has a huge range and has coveted eyes for the football.

11. Denver Broncos (from Chicago) – Rolano McClain – LB – Alabama (ProFiles)

Rolando McClain is a beast of a linebacker. He will work well with the Broncos in an already talented linebacking corps. Very vocal team leader who will fire up the defense. It makes me shiver thinking of McClain and Dawkins on the same D.

12. Miami Dolphins – Dez Bryant – WR – Oklahoma State (Maximum Sports)

Chad Henne needs a nice big target to throw to. Dez Bryant is a beastly specimen of a wide receiver and will do a great job in Miami.

13. San Francisco 49ers – Trent Williams – OT – Oklahoma (Maximum Sports)

The 49ers need all the help they can get on the offensive line and Trent Williams is next on my offensive tackle rankings.

14. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver) – C.J. Spiller – RB – Clemson (Pro Tect Mgmt)

The Seahawks need an every down running back since the black hole of turf swallowed Shaun Alexander a few years back. Spiller is an animal and could’ve started in the NFL in his senior year.

15. New York Giants – Brandon Spikes – LB – Florida (Watson Sports Agency)

Brandon Spikes has been criticized for his lateral speed but Antonio Pierce really didn’t have any either. Spikes is tough and physical; great fit for the Gmen.

16. Tennessee Titans – Joe Haden – CB – Florida (DSI Sports)

Joe Haden silenced his critics at his Pro Day when he ran a sub-4.5 40-yard dash. Haden has excellent mechanics and is a great cover corner.

17. San Francisco 49ers (from Carolina) – Jason Pierre-Paul – DE – USF (Rosenhaus Sports)

Pierre-Paul is a freak of nature and is high on every team’s draft board. I’m convinced he can dominate as either a DE or 3-4 OLB.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers – Bruce Campbell – OT – Maryland (Rosenhaus Sports)

Bruce Campbell is a monster of an offensive tackle and he is diesel and quick. The Steelers will be very happy if they take Campbell.

19. Atlanta Falcons – Sean Weatherspoon – OLB – Missouri (Athletes First)

Sean Weatherspoon, in my mind, is the best outside linebacker in the draft and the Falcons can’t afford to miss out on this opportunity.

20. Houston Texans – Jahvid Best – RB – California (Impact Sports)

The Texans have been having some problems running the football as of late. Steve Slaton, in my opinion, still should be the every-down back in Houston. However, he needs someone to come in and relieve the pressure once and a while.

21. Cincinnati Bengals – Jermaine Gresham – TE – Oklahoma (CAA)

Since signing Matt Jones, it looks as though the Bengals have secured a solid number 2 wideout. Tight end is the one position that Cincy really struggles with. Gresham is a very good TE and will prove to be an important part of the Bengals offense.

22. New England Patriots – Golden Tate – WR – Notre Dame (FAAM)

New England failed to give Tom Brady enough reliable targets this past season. Golden Tate is very instinctive and plays the position well. Look for him to flourish in NE.

23. Green Bay Packers – Maurkice Pouncey – C – Florida (BEST)

The Packers need that strong force in the middle of the offensive line to give Ryan Grant some running lanes. Maurkice Pouncey is a physical C/OG who can provide the leverage the Packers need on the offensive line.

24. Philadelphia Eagles – Brandon Graham – DE – Michigan (BEST)

Brandon Graham is unstoppable. This guy is strong and has an extremely high motor to tear up slow offensive tackles. Him along side Trent Cole will be deadly.

25. Baltimore Ravens – Kyle Wilson – CB – Boise State (BEST)

With the acquisition of Anquan Boldin, the Ravens can mark WR off their high draft needs. Kyle Wilson is the best CB in the draft along with Joe Haden.

26. Arizona Cardinals – Taylor Mays – S – USC (Pro Tect Mgmt)

Taylor Mays is a beast. He ran a 4.40 at the combine and weighs 230 pounds. Although he misses tackles here and there, he could work on that and be dominant.

27. Dallas Cowboys – Sergio Kindle – OLB – Texas (BEST)

Sergio Kindle dropped out from my number one OLB spot but he is still a number one contender. The Cowboys could use a guy like him.

28. San Diego Chargers – Carlos Dunlap – DE – Florida (FAAM)

Dunlap’s stock dropped after the combine. He looked a bit small and doesn’t seem to have the drive to succeed as much as the others. However, I think it is appropriate for him to be drafted at this position.

29. New York Jets – Everson Griffen – DE – USC (Pro Tect Mgmt)

The Jets need to get a bit more rush on the quarterback and Everson Griffen will be able to provide for them the talent that they need. I’d like to see them take a CB at this spot but I feel like that position is deep enough for them to grab one in a later round.

30. Minnesota Vikings – Devin McCourty – CB – Rutgers (PlayersRep)

This pick is a wild card and may have to do with how the Vikings approach the draft. Do they pick a QB if Favre leaves? Do they need to better address the safety position? As of right now, it looks like CB is next and McCourty is next on my rankings.

31. Indianapolis Colts – Dan Williams – DT – Tennesee (FAAM)
This may be the steal of the first round. Dan Williams is an insane defensive tackle. He never stops and his motor is intensely high and the Colts need a replacement for Raheem Brock.

32. New Orleans Saints – Chad Jones – S – LSU (Alliance Mgmt)

Second Round

33. St. Louis Rams – Colt McCoy – QB – Texas (Athletes First)

34. Detroit Lions – Charles Brown – OT – USC (Premiere Sports)

35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jared Odrick – DT – Penn State (All-Pro Sports)

36. Washington Redskins – Selvish Capers – OT – WVU (PlayersRep)

37. Kansas City Chiefs – Brian Price – DT – UCLA (4th and 9 Sports)

38. San Diego Chargers (from Seattle) – Ryan Mathews – RB – Fresno State (Sun West Sports)

39. Cleveland Browns – Jimmy Clausen – QB – Notre Dame (Pro Tect Mgmt)

40. Oakland Raiders – Corey Wootton – DE – Northwestern (Priority Sports)

41. Buffalo Bills – Demaryius Thomas – WR – Georgia Tech (FAAM)

42. New England Patriots (from Jacksonville Jaguars) – Jonathan Dwyer – Georgia Tech (Dow, Lohnes LLC)

43. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from Chicago) – Arrelious Benn – WR – Illinois (Pro Tect Mgmt)

44. Miami Dolphins – Navorro Bowman – LB – Penn State (Rosenhaus Sports)

45. San Francisco 49ers – Reshad Jones – S – Georgia (BEST)

46. Denver Broncos – Terrence Cody – DT – Alabama (Corporate Athletic Mgmt)

47. New York Giants – Morgan Burnett – S – Michigan (Universal Sports)

48. New England Patriots (from Tennessee) – Kareem Jackson – CB – Alabama (Impact Sports)

49. Carolina Panthers – Greg Hardy – DE – Ole Miss (GAME)

50. Pittsburgh Steelers – Anthony Dixon – RB – Mississippi State (BC Sports)

51. Kansas City Chiefs (from Atlanta) – Rob Gronkowski – TE – Arizona (Rosenhaus Sports)

52. Houston Texans – Perrish Cox – CB – Oklahoma State (Willis & Woy Sports Group)

53. Cincinnati Bengals – Mike Johnson – OG – Alabama (ProFiles)

54. New England Patriots – Jared Veldheer – OT – Hillsdale (Priority Sports)

55. Green Bay Packers – Charles Scott – RB – LSU (SportStars)

56. Philadelphia Eagles – Myron Rolle – S – Florida State (Steinberg Sports)

57. Baltimore Ravens – Jon Asamoah – OG – Illinois (Lock, Metz, Malinovic)

58. Arizona Cardinals – Sean Lee – ILB – Penn State (Priority Sports)

59. Dallas Cowboys – Nate Allen – S – USF (FAAM)

60. Seattle Seahawks (from San Diego) – Eric Decker – WR – Minnesota (FAAM)

61. New York Jets – Brandon LaFell – WR – LSU (E. Overstreet Sports)

62. Minnesota Vikings – Jarrett Brown – QB – WVU (Rosenhaus Sports)

63. Indianapolis Colts – Larry Asante – S – Nebraska (Select Sports Group)

64. New Orleans Saints – Aaron Hernandez – TE – Florida (Athletes First)

Third Round

65. St. Louis Rams – Garrett Graham – TE – Wisconsin (Athletes First)

66. Detroit Lions – Darrell Stuckey – S – Kansas (DeBartolo Sports)

67. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Mitch Petrus – OG – Arkansas (SportStars)

68. Kansas City Chiefs – Rennie Curran – OLB – Georgia (Priority Sports)

69. Oakland Raiders – Jevan Snead – QB – Ole Miss (Select Sports Group)

70. Philadelphia Eagles (from Seattle) – Montario Hardesty – RB – Tennessee (Impact Sports)

71. Cleveland Browns – Amari Spievey – CB – Iowa (PlayersRep)

72. Buffalo Bills – Dan LeFevour – QB – Central Michigan (ProFiles)

73. Miami Dolphins – Jimmy Graham – TE – Miami (FL) (Athletic Resource Mgmt)

74. Jacksonville Jaguars – Tim Tebow – QB – Florida (Athletic Resource Mgmt)

75. Chicago Bears – Barry Church – S – Toledo (Rep 1 Sports)

76. New York Giants – Arthur Jones – DT – Syracuse (Lock, Metz, Malinovic)

77. Tennessee Titans – Jerry Hughes – DE – TCU (CAA)

78. Carolina Panthers – Taylor Price – WR – Ohio (BTI Sports)

79. San Francisco 49ers – Zane Beadles – OG – Utah (Rep 1 Sports)

80. Denver Broncos – LeGarrette Blount – RB – Oregon (Gaylord Sports)

81. Houston Texans – Shawn Lauvao – OG – Arizona State (Athletes First)

82. Pittsburgh Steelers – Brandon Ghee – CB – Wake Forest (Octagon)

83. Atlanta Falcons – Patrick Robinson – CB – Florida State (Universal Sports)

84. Cincinnati Bengals – Major Wright – S – Florida (Impact Sports)

85. Cleveland Browns (from Oakland via New England) – Eric Norwood – OLB – S. Carolina (FAAM)

86. Green Bay Packers – Tyson Alualu – DT – California (Priority Sports)

87. Philadelphia Eagles – A.J. Edds – LB – Iowa (JB Sports)

88. Arizona Cardinals (from Baltimore) – Danario Alexander – WR – Missouri (Select Sports Group)

89. Arizona Cardinals – Jason Fox – OT – Miami (Rosenhaus Sports)

91. Dallas Cowboys – Ciron Black – OT – LSU (Athletic Resource Mgmt)

92. San Diego Chargers – John Jerry – OT – Ole Miss (BC Sports)

93. Cleveland Browns (from New York Jets) – Marty Gilyard – WR – Cincinnati (PlayersRep)

94. Minnesota Vikings – Thomas Austin – OG – Clemson (N/A)

95. Indianapolis Colts – Chris Cook – CB – Virginia (Enter-Sports)

96. New Orleans Saints – Rodrick Muckelroy – OLB – Texas (Select Sports Group)

Fourth Round

97. St. Louis Rams – Dezmon Briscoe – WR – Kansas (Premier Sports)

1. St. Louis – QB Sam ...

Last updated: May 2, 2009

1. St. Louis – QB Sam Bradford ~ Oklahoma = The Rams could go ahead and get their quarterback of the future with the first overall pick. Bradford might have been the top pick had he come out in 2009, so it’s pretty much safe to say he’s the frontrunner for #1 overall in 2010.

2. Cincinnati – DE Carlos Dunlap ~ Florida = At 6′6″ 290, Dunlap reminds many of Mario Williams coming out of college. He is just scratching the surface of his potential and in the SEC last year as a sophomore he posted 9.5 sacks & 13.5 TFL.

3. Detroit – OT Russell Okung ~ Oklahoma State = Detroit passed up on a left tackle in this year’s draft and will have to address this position if they could get Okung here who is a potential franchise tackle in the making.

4. Cleveland – S Eric Berry ~ Tennessee = Best player on the board who could come in and start right away for Cleveland. Berry is a 1st team All-American, SEC defensive player of the year, and lead the nation in interceptions, all as a true sophomore. He also runs the 40 yard dash in 4.30 seconds and could easily play corner.

5. Oakland – S Taylor Mays ~ USC = Al Davis won’t be able to pass up on this 6′3″ 230 freakish athlete who was timed at 4.32 at USC, did 26 reps of 225 and posted a 41 inch vertical. Imagine what he’ll do at next year’s combine.

6. Kansas City – WR Arrelious Benn ~ Illinois = I thought Kansas City should’ve taken WR Michael Crabtree to give Head Coach Todd Haley dual threats at receiver, so Benn is the next best thing and will enable the team to have a guy who is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

7. Denver – DT Gerald McCoy ~ Oklahoma = Denver will need a guy who can control the middle or play end. McCoy could have been a top 20 pick in this year’s draft and will surely be a top 10 pick next year barring an injury.

8. Tampa Bay – DE Everson Griffin ~ USC = In high school at 6′4″ 270, this guy ran a 4.46 40 yard dash which is just scary. As a freshman he became the first defensive lineman to start at USC in 21 years. He will be a junior next year.

9. Jacksonville – CB Joe Haden ~ Florida = Haden has been quoted as “the most conditioned player on the entire Gator team” and can almost bench 400 pounds at only 190 lbs. He also has a 38+ inch vertical and he’s 5′11″.

10. San Francisco – OLB Sergio Kindle ~ Texas = Kindle is one of the most talented linebackers to ever attend Texas and has been compared to LB Derrick Johnson. He may or may not slip because of a DUI that he got in 2007.

11. Seattle – OT Bryan Baluga ~ Iowa = Baluga is another near prototype lineman to come out of Iowa. He is very athletic having played guard in his career as well as tackle. Seattle could get their eventual replacement for LT Walter Jones at pick 11 which would be impossible to pass up on.

12. Green Bay – CB Trevard Lindley ~ Kentucky = Green Bay will have starting corners who are both well into their 30’s after this season, and Lindley could come in and compete for CB’s Will Blackmon & Tramon Williams for a starting role.

13. Washington – DT Ndamukong Suh ~ Nebraska = An absolute monster in the middle, Suh last season became the first defensive lineman to lead the Cornhuskers in tackles since 1973. At 6′4″ 300 he has an amazing combination of strength and speed.

14. Arizona – WR Dez Bryant ~ Oklahoma State = Assuming the Cardinals are eventually going to get rid of WR Anquan Boldin and not grant him a rich contract, Bryant could come in and give them great playmaking ability. At 6′2″ 210 he has great size, and had 87 catches 1,480 yards, and 19 touchdowns last year as a sophomore.

15. Buffalo – TE Jermaine Gresham ~ Oklahoma = Gresham could’ve been a top 15 pick this year and I was very surprised he returned. At 6′6″ 261 he has incredible size, to go along with very good speed and a deep basketball background.

16. New York Jets – DT/NT Terrence Cody ~ Alabama = Current NT Kris Jenkins will be 31 after next season and has already had a list of injury problems. Cody is 6′5″ 365 lbs. and can dunk a basketball at his current weight. Not only that, he moves incredibly well and can absolutely manhandle people. A player who requires a double team every time.

17. Houston – OLB/DE Greg Hardy ~ Ole Miss = Houston may have another bigger need elsewhere, but Hardy is one of my top prospects heading into next season, he is an absolute terror off the edge, and is so athletic Ole Miss lines him up at wide receiver in the red zone.

18. San Diego – OT Ciron Black ~ LSU = Another potential franchise tackle in the NFL, Black almost declared for the draft last year but decided to stay for his senior season. At 6′5″ 320, Black has started 40 consecutive games for LSU and is a two time 2nd team All-SEC selection.

19. Miami – ILB Brandon Spikes ~ Florida = Spikes could come in and team with ILB Channing Crowder to give them a scary combination in the middle. Spikes is a huge hitter who flat out makes plays for a defense.

20. Seattle (from Denver) – RB Jahvid Best ~ California = Best is one of the most electrifying players in the nation, similar to RB Noel Devine from West Virginia. He will find himself drafted in the 1st or 2nd round somewhere next year if he declares.

21. Atlanta – OT Trent Williams ~ Oklahoma = Trent Williams is an extremely athletic, big (6′5″300) tackle who could play right or left for Atlanta.

22. Baltimore – OLB George Selvie ~ USF = Baltimore could add another 3-4 outside backer to give some insurance behind LB Terrell Suggs or start opposite him. Selvie is one of the most productive & consistent players in the nation.

23. Minnesota – QB Tim Tebow ~ Florida = The Vikings don’t have an answer at quarterback and would be lucky to get Tebow here. After having one of the greatest careers in college football history, Tebow will work on his mechanics and be a player any NFL general manager would want on their team.

24. New York Giants – ILB Rolando McClain ~ Alabama = LB Antonio Pierce isn’t getting any younger and McClain is a monster hitter who is 6′4″ 255 and was a 1st team All-SEC selection last year.

25. Indianapolis – CB Javier Arenas ~ Alabama = At 5′9″ 200 lbs., Arenas is built like a small house and not only is a solid cover guy, is one of the best return men in the nation.

26. San Francisco(from Carolina) – DT Marvin Austin ~ North Carolina = The 49ers aren’t strong at defensive tackle and Austin is another very athletic, talented defensive lineman to come out of UNC.

27. New Orleans – TE Rob Gronkowski ~ Arizona = I won’t be surprised if TE Jeremy Shockey wears out his welcome in New Orleans after another injury filled year. Gronkowski is one of the most talented tight ends in the entire country and is 6′6″ 265.

28. Dallas – WR Brandon LaFell ~ LSU = Getting rid of T.O. will prove to be a smart move, but his on the field production won’t be replaced by WR Patrick Crayton or WR Miles Austin. LaFell is a guy who could really come into his own this year and get drafted much higher.

29. Tennessee – RB Jonathan Dwyer ~ Georgia Tech = Tennessee could try and trade RB LenDale White as they were rumored to have been trying to do on draft day. The 6′0″ 235 lb ACC player of the year would be a great replacement.

30. Pittsburgh – S Major Wright ~ Florida = Wright could be the heir apparent to S Ryan Clark, teaming with all-pro S Troy Polamalu this would be a dynamic pair well into the future.

31. New England – C Kristofer O’Dowd ~ USC = The first freshman to start at center in USC history. O’Dowd is an imposing, powerful center who could really excel in the NFL right away.

32. Philadelphia – DE Greg Romeus ~ Pittsburgh = Philadelphia values the offensive and defensive line extremely high in the draft, so expect them to add depth here and take the best player.

Fringe 1st rounder’s – QB Colt McCoy, RB Joe McKnight, RB C.J. Spillar, RB LaGarrette Blount, WR Damien Williams, TE Dennis Pita, OT Adam Ulatowski, OT Sam Young, CB Ras-I Dowling, DT Lawrence Marsh, OLB/DE Jerry Hughes, DE Eric Noorwood, OLB Sean Witherspoon, OLB Rennie Curran, S Earl Thomas
